The Number You are Trying to Reach is No Longer in Service!

If you've been around the circuit awhile like me, you may have experienced the challenge of parts no longer being available for your bike or car because the company went out of business. This was the case for the guy who came into my shop last week.

The company he purchased a wide tire kit from for his Suzuki Hayabusa went out of business a few years back and he could no longer find replacement parts.

He bought some Harley sprockets but they didn't fit his Hayabusa. Luckily, a friend mentioned to him that I might be able to help him out.

And it turns out I was. I added the correct bolt pattern to the sprockets and bored out the inside to suit. I machined new threads in the axle and removed broken screws from the jack shaft. He was pleased as punch!

Occasionally, you may find yourself unable to find replacement parts. Sometimes a CNC machine shop can repair the original parts to be as good as new or machine similar parts to fit your bike.
